The silver anniversary of the repose of Archbishop Anthony (Medvedev) was celebrated at the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorry” in San Francisco

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, a memorial service for the ever-memorable Archbishop Anthony (Medvedev) was held at the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorry” in San Francisco, CA, marking the 25th anniversary of his repose.

The service was led by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, with His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle and His Grace Bishop James of Sonora, along with a host of clergy of the diocese.

The pannikhida was sung by the choir of the cathedral under the direction of Vladimir Krassovsky. After the service, the sisterhood of the cathedral organized a memorial meal for the clergy and parishioners.

During the meal, Vladimir Krassovsky spoke of his memories of the ever-memorable Archbishop Anthony, sharing personal stories and words of gratitude about his spiritual legacy.

On the same day, a pannikhida was held at the burial site of Archbishop Anthony at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, by Archpriest Peter Perekrastov and Archpriest Sergey Kotar, with the singing of the monastery choir and a large gathering of brotherhood and worshipers.
