NEW YORK: 2 July, 2024
A delegation led by Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York departs for the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the feast day of the repose of St John, Archbishop of Shanghai and San Francisco the Wonderworker, Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, accompanying the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" will depart for New Zealand. Here, His Eminence will visit the parishes of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia with the miracle-working icon, performing divine services and molebens to the Mother of God.

On Tuesday, July 9, the feast day of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Nicholas will travel to Sydney, Australia, where he will officiate over the feast day of SS Peter and Paul Cathedral and visit the monasteries and parishes of the central deanery of the diocese, performing Divine Liturgies, molebens and akathists before the wonderworking icon. Here Metropolitan Nicholas will also host a gathering with the youth of Sydney churches.

On Friday, July 19, His Eminence will depart for the province of Victoria, where he will visit the parishes of this deanery and lead the conciliar celebration of Divine Liturgy at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Melbourne on Sunday, July 21.

On Thursday, July 18, the feast day of St Sergius of Radonezh, and on Wednesday, July 24, the feast day of St Olga, Equal-to-the-Apostles, the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia will visit Holy Virgin Protection Church in Cabramatta, a suburb of Sydney.

On Friday, July 26, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas will depart for New York.

His Eminence will be accompanied by Archpriest Serafim Gan and Protodeacon Eugene Kallaur.
