Ludwigsfeld celebrates the 60th anniversary of the parish of the Archangel Michael

On Sunday, 18 June, 2023, the Sunday of All Russian Saints, His Eminence Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Archangel Michael in the north of Munich, in the Ludwigsfeld district. Concelebrating with His Eminence were the rector of the church, Priest Andrei Berezovsky, Archpriest Alexander Galanin (Ukrainian Orthodox Church), Priest Maxim Dorokhov and Protodeacon Bartholomew Bazanov.

In his sermon, His Eminence noted that we are all “heirs of holiness,” and also remembered the saints of the day: SS Anthony and Theodosius of Kiev-Pechersk, St Philaret (Drozdov), Metropolitan of Moscow and Kolomna, and the many holy new martyrs. At the end of the service, the hierarchy and birthday celebrants were honored by the singing of “Many Years,” and "Eternal Memory" was sung to the deceased founders of the church, its clergy and parishioners.
