The German and Western European Diocese are organizing a summer literary-historical camp for youth in Georgia
The Western European and German Dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia are jointly hosting a summer camp for Russian-speaking youth to take place from 10-24 August, 2023, in the nation of Georgia. An announcement from the organizers, operating with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany, follows:
Dear parents, we invite Orthodox Russian-speaking teenagers aged 11-18 to a literature and history camp in Georgia.
Some of the best teachers from Russia — Christian and open to Orthodoxy: writer and literature teacher Irina Lukyanova, writer and author of teenage books Nina Dashevskaya, historian Georgy Shpak and musician Maria Batova — will spend two weeks with teenagers in the outskirts of Tbilisi, studying literature, history, music, reading the Gospel, discovering Georgian history and culture, and discovering community together.
The wonderful priest Father Oleg Batov will be with us at the camp.
- August 10th-24th
- Two groups: 11-14, 15-18 years old.
- Cost: €1300 + flight ticket
- We can meet students at Tbilisi, Kutaisi (WizzAir) or Vladikavkaz airports
