The Canadian Diocese announces the repose of Protodeacon Christopher Birchall

According to the Canadian Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Protodeacon Christopher Birchall, long-time diocesan clergyman of St Nicholas Church in Vancouver, BC, reposed in the Lord on 20 August, 2022. He had just turned 70 years old this month. A pannikhida was performed in his memory after Divine Liturgy on 21 August.

Fr Christopher was an Englishman who converted to Orthodox Christianity, and was known as a historian of the Church.
