The Canadian Diocese collects donations for the refugees and victims of internecine strife

As reported on the official website of the Canadian Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, the tragedy taking place on the land of Kievan Rus evokes profound sorrow among the clergy and flock of the Russian Orthodox Church and the God-preserved Canadian Diocese. Every church of the diocese lifts its prayers for the suffering and for the imminent restoration of peace.

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, a collection is being made on the parish level. Vladyka Gabriel hopes that his parishes quickly respond to the appeal of the Fund for Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, reminding everyone that the Russian Church Abroad, following the commandments of Christ, from its very first days was the home of the entire Orthodox Diaspora, for all who seek spiritual consolation, no matter their background.

Collected funds will be distributed to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onouphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
