The Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" visits the Mid-American Diocese
On Monday, March 22, 2021, the feast day of the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste, the miracle-working В понедельник, 22 марта, в день памяти 40 мучеников Севастийских, чудотворный образ БогоматериKursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" was brought to Chicago. Meeting the holy icon at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral, His Eminence Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America celebrated the Divine Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified Gifts along with His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica and Midwestern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church, the cathedral and visiting clergy.
The Kursk Icon will remain in the diocese until the Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem.
