A priest is ordained in Jordanville for the Canadian Diocese

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, Deacon Dimitry Chemeris of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Toronto, ON, was ordained to the priesthood оn Friday, September 27, 2020, the feast day of the Elevation of the Cross of the Lord.

The ordination took place at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, by His Grace Bishop Luke of Syracuse, Abbot of the monastery and Rector of Holy Trinity Seminary, where Fr Dimitry has been studying remotely.

In the coming calendar year, Fr Dimitry will begin his priestly service at Holy Protection Church in Hamilton, ON.
