With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Protopriest Vladimir Boikov, Rector of Resurrection of the Lord Church in Auckland, NZ, is organizing the 2nd ROCOR Pilgrimage to Ekaterinburg for the Royal Days celebrations in July, 2020. The pilgrimage will be led by His Grace Bishop Irinei of London and Western Europe and will take place between July 6-19, and include significant feast days – the Nativity of St John the Baptist (the Diocesan Cathedral Patronal Feast), SS Peter and Fevronia, the Tihkvin Icon (Patronal Feast of the New Tihkvin Icon Convent), the Royal Family's Troeruchitsa Icon, SS Peter and Paul, and of course the celebrations around the Feast of the Royal Martyrs including the Royal Cross Procession and SS Elisabeth and Barbara. The Centenary Pilgrimage held in 2018 was very successful, and it is hoped that this next one will be just as good and that maximum benefit will be had by the pilgrims on the Russian Golgotha. This is a pilgrimage of prayer (with 9 Hierarchical Liturgies in 12 days), dedicated to the Great Podvig of the Royal Family. Those interested can send an email to frvlad@xtra.co.nz for the itinerary, price and other details – space is limited to 50 and the registration will close at the end of February 2020.
