The Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God arrives in the Uzbekistan Metropoliate

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign" arrived in Tashkent from its home in New York, in time for the celebration of the Day of the Mid-Asian Metropoliate Region and the feast day of Saints of the Mid-Asian Metropoliate.

 The solemn greeting of the holy image took place on Saturday at Holy Dormition Cathedral. The icon will make visits throughout Tashkent, Bishkek, Samarkand and Dushanbe, until September 19.
