Archpastors of the Russian Church Abroad prayerfully commemorate His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, the tenth anniversary of the repose of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of blessed memory, the hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, gathering in New York for a session of the Synod of Bishops, prayerfully commemorated the late Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church as well as Metropolitan Laurus, the two of whom reestablished brotherly unity within the Mother Church in 2007.

Afterwards, His Grace Bishop Nicholas hosted a dinner in his residence in honor of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, and the other archpastors.

This expanded Synod of Bishops will continue until Saturday, December 8.
