On Thursday, May 17, 2018, the Ascension of the Lord, His Eminence Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America participated in feast-day celebrations at Holy Ascension Church in Belgrade, Serbia. His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia officiated at the service and led the procession of the cross. On the eve of the holiday, His Eminence was featured on Serbian television together with His Grace Bishop Longin of Novo Gracanica and Midwestern America.
