Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York performs divine services
On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York prayed at divine services at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady "of the Sign" in New York, then officiated at the Liturgy of Pre-Sanctified Gifts. He was joined by His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, the cathedral clergymen and clerics of the Synodal Chancery. Peter Fekula led the cathedral choir. After the singing of "Blessed be the name of the Lord," His Eminence read the customary prayer of St Theodore the Studite.
On Friday, February 23, Metropolitan Hilarion celebrated the Liturgy of Pre-Sanctified Gifts at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Inexhaustible Cup" in Brooklyn, NY.
On February 25, the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy and the feast day of St Alexey of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Hilarion and Bishop Nicholas celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St Basil the Great at the Synodal Cathedral. The Rite of Orthodoxy was then performed, followed by a pannikhida service before the coffin of Prince Vladimir Galitzine, who had died the previous Thursday.
