Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America Will Make an Archpastoral Visit to the Western European Diocese

On September 27, 2017, the feast day of the Elevation of the Cross of the Lord, the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the cathedral devoted to this holiday in Geneva, Switzerland, will be prayerfully celebrated. Prior to the event, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, will visit Geneva, where he will meet with His Eminence Archbishop Michael of Geneva and Western Europe, the clergymen and officials of the cathedral parish, along with the organizers of the anniversary celebrations. Vladyka Kyrill will examine the progress of the restoration work on the cathedral. During his visit, His Eminence will also review the celebration schedule and related practical questions.

The Secretary of the Synod will be in Geneva from September 4-8, and will be accompanied by Protopriest Serafim Gan, Chancellor of the Synod of Bishops.
