Matushka Vera Dombrovsky Reposes in the Lord

On Monday, February 16, 2015, the second day of the Presentation of the Lord, Vera Dombrovsky, the wife of the renowned builder of the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in San Francisco, Protopriest Nikolai Dombrovsky (+1979), reposed in the Lord. Vera died on the feast day of St Simeon the God-Receiver, who, having lived to a very old age, was honored to meet the Savior of the World, at which time he exclaimed “Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word, for my eyes have seen Your salvation…”

For all her labors, her love and devotion to God and the Holy Church, may the Lord likewise bless her with meeting Christ in the next world! Funeral services are scheduled as follows:

Friday, February 20, a pannikhida at 7:30 at the cathedral. Saturday, February 21, after Divine Liturgy, the cathedral clergymen will perform the funeral service at 10 am.
