Holy Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth is Commemorated in Russian Gethsemane
On Friday, July 18, 2014, the feast day of St Sergius of Radonezh and New Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth, His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, Administrator of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America, who is leading a group of pilgrims to the Holy Land, celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Church of St Mary Magdalene in the Russian Gethsemane Convent. His Grace was joined by Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, and other visiting clergymen. In attendance was a multitude of worshipers.
