The First Day of the Council of Bishops Concludes

On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at a session of the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, the member hierarchs heard reports from the ruling bishops on their dioceses, and a report by His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany on the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, of which he is Overseer. The bishops then deliberated on a draft epistle to the clergy and flock regarding matters of church discipline and suspended clergymen.

The Council continues its work today after Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow.”
