The First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad Officiates
at the Feast-Day Celebrations at Holy Trinity Monastery
On Monday, June 13, 2011, the feast day of the Holy Spirit, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York officiated at the celebration of Divine Liturgy on at the Cathedral of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, along with His Grace Bishop George of Mayfield, Archimandrite Luke, abbot of the monastery, and other clergymen of the Eastern American Diocese. During the service, His Eminence ordained Hierodeacon Anatloy (Zhilin) to the rank of hieromonk, and Subdeacon John Malcom to the rank of deacon. During the minor entrance, Vladyka Hilarion awarded Protopriest Michael Taratuchin, Rector of St John of Kronstadt Church in Utica, NY, the palitsa in recognition of his pastoral service.
