His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia to Visit Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral
On Saturday, February 26, 2011, Cheesefare Saturday, His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia will be greeted at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Chicago, IL, by His Eminence Archbishop Alypy of Chicago and Mid-America and His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, along with their clergymen and flock. His Holiness will pray during all-night vigil, after which a fraternal trapeza will be shared.
The main goal of the visit of His Holiness to Chicago will be to prayerfully commemorate the late Metropolitan Christopher, who reposed in the Lord six months ago, and to visit local Orthodox holy sites and meet with his flock.
