Statement from the Chancery of Metropolitan Hilarion  of Eastern America and New York To Parish Rectors of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York

On Bright Saturday, April 25, 2008, St Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York City (15 East 97 Street, NY, NY 10029), Divine Liturgy will be celebrated jointly by His Grace Bishop Mercurius, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parish in the USA, and hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The Miracle-working Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God will be brought to the Cathedral before the service.

After Divine Liturgy, a joint procession of the cross will be held with the participation of the archpastors, clergy and laity of Manhattan, after which the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York will host a reception.
