On September 5, 2008, while in San Francisco for a regular session of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion visited the Russian Center's museum and archives, the offices of the Congress of Russian Americans, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and Mother of God of Kazan Church in San Francisco.
