Today, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion was greeted at San Francisco International Airport by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, along with His Grace Bishop John of Caracas, Administrator of the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Churches Outside of Russia in South America. 

Tomorrow, a regular session of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia will begin, presided over by the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. It will be held at the Diocesan Center at St Tikhon of Zadonsk Church, where St John (Maximovich) of Shanghai and San Francisco once lived.
