Metropolitan Laurus Receives a Delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church Headed By Bishop Vasilije of Sremsk

On February 28, 2008, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus met with a delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church at Danilovsk Hotel. The Serbian Church had provided sanctuary to the Russian refugees in their hour of need. His Grace Bishop Vasilije presented the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia with a letter from the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church regarding the organization of a celebration of the reestablishment of the fullness of brotherly communion within the Local Russian Orthodox Church to be held in Sremsky Karlovci, which is considered the “cradle of the Russian Church Abroad.” This event is scheduled to be held in the first half of next year.
