SCHEDULE OF CELEBRATIONS for the 40 th Anniversary of the Archpastoral Service of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia
Friday, August 18/31, 2007: namesday of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
5 am: Monastic midnight office at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY.
6 am: Greeting of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus followed by Divine Liturgy.
8 am: Breakfast in the monastery refectory, followed by a reception at the residence of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus with visiting clergy.
Saturday, August 19/September 1.
3 pm: Greeting of the miracle-working copy of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God, akathist at the Monastery Cathedral.
6 pm: Evening trapeza.
7 pm: All-night vigil.
Sunday, August 20/September 2.
9 am: Greeting of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus followed by Divine Liturgy, moleben and procession of the cross.
After services, a trapeza in the monastery refectory, then a reception of the “skete” of His Eminence Vladyka.
5:30 pm: Vespers.
6:30 pm: Evening trapeza at the monastery.
7 pm: Compline in the Monastery Cathedral.
Reception for the archpastors and honored guests at the home of Protodeacon Victor Lochmatov.
Monday, August 21/September 3 (Labor Day).
5 am: Midnight office and matins.
9 am: Greeting of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, Divine Liturgy and moleben, followed by an exchange of greetings and a moleben. During the veneration of the cross, singing of Tebe Boga khvalim [We Praise Thee, O Lord] by a unified choir of Holy Trinity and Sretensky Monasteries. Group photograph of the archpastors and clergymen. A group photograph of the graduates of Holy Trinity Seminary of the Class of 1967 with His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus.
2 pm: Formal reception at Otesaga Hotel. Greetings read from bishops and others. A presentation by the Class of 1967. A concert by the men's choir of Moscow's Sretensky Stavropighial Monastery.

Wednesday, August 23/September 5.
At 10:30 am, a regular session of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia commences in the Synodal Building in New York City.
