Conference
and Retreat in the Siberian Diocese
On
Tuesday, 18 March, and Wednesday, 19 March, the traditional
conference and retreat of the clergy of the Siberian Diocese
was held. It was headed by His Grace Bishop Evtikhii of Ishim
and Siberia. Fifteen priests and 2 deacons were present, that
is, all except for two from the far eastern region. His Grace
Bishop Michael of Boston also attended, accompanied by Hieromonk
Sofronii.
On Wednesday,
during pre-sanctified liturgy, Hieromonk Feofan (Nosov) of
Archangel Michael Monastery, which he founded several years
ago in his now-nearly-abandoned hometown of Olhovka, was elevated
to the rank of abbot, in accordance with the decision of the
Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of
Russia of 27 November 2002 (see photo).
