SIBERIA: A New Parish
Established in Omsk in honor of St. John of Shanghai by Parishioners
Loyal to the
Conciliar Church
Parish Established in Omsk
A new parish
has been established in the city of Omsk in honor of St. John
of Shanghai and San Francisco the Miracle-worker. The parish,
headed by Protopriest Nikolai Lukiy, consists mainly of those
parishioners of the Church of the New Martyrs of Russia who
remained loyal to the Conciliar Church. By the mercy of God,
a church in honor of St. John has been founded on Siberian
soil which exists under the guardianship of St. John of Tobolsk
the Miracle-worker, who was an ancestor of St. John of Shanghai.
Services in the new parish
are temporarily being held in a house. The Reverend Rector
constantly recalls the labors of St. John in his sermons,
tells about his love for God, his compassion for his neighbor.
According to the parishioners loyal to the Conciliar Church:
Peace reigns in the parish, as well as mutual love and
joy in the Lord. The difficulty of daily life doesnt
upset us: we remember how St. John served in a garage in Paris.
During holidays, some 100 people gather for services
