of St. Martin of Tura in Oregon, and Ordains its Rector.
The newest church of the Western American Diocese
On Saturday, 23 November, His Grace Kyrill, Bishop of Western
America and San Francisco, conducted a minor consecration
of the newest church in the Western American Diocese, dedicated
to St. Marin of Tura in Corwallis, OR.
On Sunday, 24 November, Bishop Kyrill ordained the builder
of the church, deacon James Bagliens, into the priesthood.
Bishop Kyrill was joined by the dean of the Northwest Deanery
of the Western American Diocese, Priest Alexei Kotar, Priest
David Moser from Idaho, Priest Seraphim Cardoza from Rogue
River, rector of the Church of the New Martyrs of Russia in
Mulino, OR, Priest Sergei Sveshnikov, Protodeacon Paul Bilibin
and Deacon Nicholas Lenkov.
After the Sunday liturgy, Bishop Kyrill and the new priest,
Fr. James Bagliens, flew to San Francisco, where Fr. James
intends to serve for forty days.
