Nun Alexandra Dies

On the night of January 7-8, the second day of the Nativity of the Lord, 85-year-old Nun Alexandra of Lesna Convent in France quietly departed to the Lord while resting in her cell. She was born Natalia Borisovna Tarasova, and was known to many as the long-time Chief Editor of the magazine Grani [Borders]. The funeral service was held at the monastery church on January 12, and the burial the same day at the convent cemetery.
