The Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Celebrates its Feast Day

His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America officiated at Divine Liturgy on the feast day of the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco, CA. On the eve, Vladyka Kyrill served all-night vigil along with Bishop Peter of Cleveland, Administrator of the Diocese of Chicago and Detroit, and a host of clergymen from the Western American Diocese. During minor entrance, Archbishop Kyrill, in accordance with the decision of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, elevated Hieromonk Theodosius of St Tikhon Church at the Diocesan Administration Building to the rank of hegumen, and awarded him the palitsa.
