Registration Continues
for Ruskoka, the Only Russian Orthodox Camp in Canada
Ruskoka is a camp for Russian Orthodox
youth, ages 12-16, under the Eastern Canadian Diocese. This year,
camp is scheduled for July 31-August 13.
Its name, short for "Rus on
the Muskoka," was given to one of the most picturesque stretches
of the Muskoka River, some two hundred kilometers from Toronto.
The program consists of catechism
study, sports activities, hikes, rock climbing, canoeing, etc. Divine
services are held in the new chapel dedicated to the Royal Martyr
St Alexis.
Children live in tents. They are
given delicious, nutritious meals, and medical care is available.
This summer, 45 children are expected
for "Rus on the Muskoka." Early registration is required.
