Schedule for Holy Trinity Monastery's 75th Anniversary Celebrations

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, a public celebration of the memory of St Job the Miracle-worker, Abbot of Pochaev Monastery, will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2005 (on the eve of Labor Day), concurrently with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Holy Trinity Monastery, which Metropolitan Anastassy (Gribanovsky, +1965) called the "Lavra Abroad" and "our spiritual fortress."

Saturday, September 3:

3 pm: Greeting of the miracle-working copy of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God and a moleben and akathist to St Job in the Monastery Cathedral.

6 pm: Evening trapeza.

7 pm: All-night vigil with a litia and polyeleos.

Confessions heard on the eve and morning before Divine Liturgy.

Sunday, September 4:

6 am: Early Divine Liturgy in the lower Church of St Job of Pochaev.

9 am: Greeting of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and Abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery, at the Monastery Cathedral, with the participation of the members of the Synod of Bishops, the monastic brethren and Seminary teachers of priestly rank and many guests. At the end of Divine Liturgy, a moleben to the Most-Pure Mother of God and St Job, with a procession of the cross and trapeza for all participants of the celebrations. After lunch, a reception at the "skete," the First Hierarch's residence.

7 pm: Evening trapeza.

7:30 pm: Small compline and pannikhida for the reposed brethren of the monastery.

Monday, September 5 (Labor Day):

8:30 am: Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral.

At the beginning of the celebrations, Holy Trinity Monastery Museum will present an exhibit of photographs from the life of the monastic brethren and the history of the Monastery.
