Pilgrimage
Led by Archbishop Hilarion of Sydney and the Diocese of Australia
and New Zealand Visits Nizhny Novgorod
On August 7, a pilgrimage of the descendants of Russian ĪmigrĪs
of the first wave from Australia, the USA and Canada visited Nizhny
Novgorod. The group was led by His Eminence Archbishop Hilarion
of Sydney and the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand.
The pilgrims visited Pechersky Monastery, Stroganovsky Church, the
Kremlin of Nizhny Novgorod and viewed the exhibit "Nizhny Novgorodthe
Land of St Seraphim of Sarov." They also visited Diveevo Monastery,
where they venerated the holy relics of St Seraphim and other holy
icons and relics.
The group of pilgrims from the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of
Russia will travel throughout Russia for one month. Their itinerary
includes cities relating to the life, podvigi and sufferings of
Tsar-Martyr Nicholas II and the other Royal Martyrs.
