Archbishop Kyrill Awards Archimandrite Anastassy (Sagarski)

On April 24, on the Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America performed the solemn Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco. His Eminence was joined in the service by the Cathedral's clergymen. In connection with the 50th anniversary of the clerical service and the 90th birthday of Archimandrite Anastassy (Sagarski) which he celebrated on the Annunciation, Archbishop Kyrill awarded him a second ornamented pectoral cross. A ceremonial luncheon was held after the end of Divine Liturgy organized by the Cathedral's sisterhood, at which Archimandrite Anastassy was congratulated by the Cathedral's clergymen, senior parishioners, his spiritual children and others.
