Peter of Cleveland Visits the Parishes and Missions of Texas
Bishop Peter
of Cleveland, Vicar Bishop of the Diocese of Chicago and Detroit,
visited parishes and missions in Dallas, College Station and Houston,
which, by decree of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox
Church Outside of Russia, were recently joined to the Diocese. During
the week of the Elevation of the Cross, Bishop Peter performed divine
liturgy at the Church of St Vladimir in Houston, and on the eve,
all-night vigil at the missionary community of St Jonah of Manchuria
Orthodox Mission (the saint was glorified by the Russian Orthodox
Church Outside of Russia in 1996).
