A General Assembly of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York to be Held in the Second Half of October

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, a one-day General Assembly of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York will be held on October 6/19, 2004, at St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Howell (Lakewood), NJ. A moleben will be served at 9:30 am before the opening of the Assembly. At 10 am, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus will open the Assembly with a keynote speech, after which a vice president and a secretary will be elected. Heard will be: reports by His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, His Grace Bishop Gabriel of Manhattan, the Diocesan Treasurer, the Auditing Committee and parish rectors; current affairs on church life in the Eastern American Diocese will also be discussed.
