On his namesday, Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York celebrates Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady "of the Sign"

On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, the feast day of St Hilarion, Schema-monk of Kievo-Pechersk, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady "of the Sign" in New York. He was joined by His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan and the clergymen of the cathedral and the diocese, along with clerics of the Patriarchal Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate in the United States. The Cathedral Choir sang under the direction of Vadim Gan.

Vladyka Nicholas congratulated Metropolitan Hilarion and read the greeting received from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. Hegumen Nikodim (Balyasnikov) read a congratulatory message from His Grace Bishop Matthew of Sourozh, Administration of the Patriarchal Parishes. Vladyka Metropolitan was also congratulated by Vladyka Gabriel and the Cathedral Warden Sergei Yakushin.

At the reception organized by the cathedral's sisterhood, the First Hierarch continued to celebrate with the congregants, after which he received further congratulations at his residence.
