On the Sunday of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral

On the Third Sunday after Pascha, May 12, 2019, the feast of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America celebrated Divine Liturgy in St Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in San Francisco, CA. His Eminence was joined by cathedral dean, Priest Alexey Bykon, Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov; cleric of St Nicholas Cathedral in New York City) and Archdeacon Peter (Karakozoff).

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, Abbot Nicodemus expressed his gratitude to Archbishop Kyrill for his attention to the parishioners of St Nicholas Cathedral and for celebrating Divine Liturgy during the days of Pascha. In turn, Archbishop Kyrill congratulated the clergy and parishioners with the radiant Resurrection of Christ, as well as the cathedral sisterhood and parishioners with the feast of the Holy Myrrh-bearers and the American holiday, Mother’s Day.

Interaction between the hierarch, clergy and parishioners continued over a festal meal in the cathedral refectory.
