On the week of the Veneration of the Holy Cross starting April 1, 2019, the Great Lenten Pastoral Retreat and Conference of the Western American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia was held in San Francisco, CA, which issued a public statement. The event began with the celebration of a Liturgy of Pre-Sanctified Gifts headed by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America.
