Photo-Report on the Greeting of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God at Chicago's Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral

On Sunday evening, March 16, 2014, His Eminence Archbishop Alypy of Chicago, His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, the clergymen and parishioners of Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Chicago, IL, ceremoniously greeted the Miracle-working Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign." After the greeting and blessing of the faithful, the special Great-Lenten "Passion service" was performed, commemorating the Passions of Christ.
