A Regular Session of the Synod of Bishops under His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus Scheduled Next Week

His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus officiated at solemn services on the eve of and on the day of the Epiphany of the Lord at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY. On Sunday, January 23, His Eminence will lead divine service at the Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God in Glen Cove, NY, after which he will bless the new church hall and will congratulate the children of the parish during their "Yolka" [Nativity pageant].

From January 25-27, His Eminence Vladyka will preside at a regular session of the Synod of Bishops, which will study documents prepared by the Committees of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and the Moscow Patriarchate, which had convened in November of last year, and will discuss other ecclesiastical matters.

On January 30, His Eminence will officiate at divine liturgy at the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord in Boston, whose rector is Mitred Protopriest Roman Lukianov.
